Collection Overview

The peak of creativity is reached when a new technique gives rise to fresh concepts. As 3D printing developed into a versatile tool, investigations in material development, mechanical technologies, and modeling software have greatly broadened its application. This collection aims to document breakthroughs in foundational techniques that hold the promise of generating novel concepts in 3D printing. By showcasing a variety of investigations, this collection will underscore the field's sophistication and highlight the diverse approaches fueling design innovation in 3D printing.

Many of these methods have emerged organically from the fringes of the field, bringing in new techniques and diverse methods from different disciplines. The underlying narrative demonstrates the deepening communication and synergy between different fields, revealing the potential for innovative collaborations. The goal of this Methods Collection is to compile protocols from experts engaged in digital modeling, material development, and mechanical engineering, ultimately leading to the creation of new techniques and applications.
