Proprioceptive Assessment Module

The Proprioceptive Assessment Module is a structured approach for evaluating proprioception, the sensory system that informs the brain about body position, movement, and force without relying primarily on vision. It typically examines how an individual detects or responds to changes in joint position, limb movement, or applied resistance through controlled behavioral tasks and measurements of accuracy, timing, or response consistency. In behavioral research, these assessments help characterize sensorimotor integration, coordination, and deficits associated with injury, neurological disease, or altered development. Standardized proprioceptive measures also support comparisons across participants and can guide rehabilitation, experimental design, and evaluation of interventions.

The primary purpose of this experiment is to understand how primary sensory neurons convey information of joint movements and positions as proprioceptive information for an animal. An additional objective of this report is present the anatomy of the preparation by dissection and viewing of neurons under a dissecting microscope.

Assessing the Role of Gut Microbiota in Modulating Hepatitis B Infection in Mice

Take a control mouse with a normal gut microbiota and an experimental mouse with depleted gut microbiota. The depletion compromises the integrity of the gut barrier. This enables bacteria to translocate through the blood vessel into the liver tissue.Inject both mice with the hepatitis B virus or HBV plasmid to induce an HBV infection in the liver tissue. In the control mouse, the T cell detects an infected liver cell through the interaction of its receptors with viral antigens, and produces...
