Temporal Alignment

Temporal alignment is the process of placing events, signals, or observations on a common time reference so their sequence and timing can be compared accurately. In behavioral research, it typically synchronizes recorded actions with stimuli, experimental conditions, or physiological and neural measurements by using shared timestamps, identifiable event markers, and corrections for recording delays or clock drift. This alignment helps researchers determine when a behavior begins, how long it lasts, and how it relates to preceding cues or concurrent biological activity. It supports reaction-time analysis, stimulus-response studies, longitudinal behavior tracking, and integration of multimodal datasets, improving the reliability and interpretation of behavioral findings.

The analytical ultracentrifuge (AUC) sample cell holds sample and reference buffer and during experiments and is exposed to high vacuum and rotor speeds up to 60,000 rpm. This video will demonstrate the rigorous attention to detail necessary for assembly, loading and alignment of this very important component of an AUC experiment.

A Label-free Technique for the Spatio-temporal Imaging of Single Cell Secretions

Inter-cellular communication is critical for controlling various physiological activities within and outside the cell. This paper describes a protocol for measuring the spatio-temporal nature of single cell secretions. To achieve this, a multidisciplinary approach is used which integrates label-free nanoplasmonic sensing with live cell imaging.

Design Example: Alignment of a Road Line Using GIS

2025

The alignment of a road line using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a critical process in civil engineering, combining advanced technology with practical decision-making. This methodology begins with the collection of geospatial data, including information on land cover, geomorphology, drainage patterns, slope, and contour details. Such data is typically acquired through satellite imagery and GIS tools, offering a comprehensive understanding of the terrain.Once the data is gathered, it...
