Automated Selection Software

Automated Selection Software is a computational tool that evaluates biological data or experimental candidates and selects those that meet predefined criteria, improving consistency and efficiency in research workflows. It processes inputs such as measurements, images, sequence features, or sample metadata by applying rules, thresholds, classification models, or ranking algorithms, often reducing manual screening. In biology, these systems can support cell and colony screening, image-based analysis, sample prioritization, and candidate identification for downstream experiments. By standardizing selection decisions and handling large datasets, automated selection software helps researchers increase throughput, limit observer bias, and focus resources on the most relevant biological results.

Peptide adsorption to plasticware during traditional tip-based serial dilutions can significantly impact potency determination and confound the understanding of structure-activity relationships used for lead identification and lead optimization phases of drug discovery. Here methods for automated acoustic non-contact serial dilution of peptide samples are described.
