Endometriosis Association

The Endometriosis Association is an organization dedicated to increasing awareness, education, support, and research related to endometriosis, a condition in which tissue resembling the uterine lining grows outside the uterus. It advances its mission through patient and family resources, community support, public education, and advocacy for improved recognition and care, while encouraging scientific investigation of disease mechanisms and treatment. In biology, the association connects lived experience with research on inflammation, pelvic pain, fertility, hormone-responsive tissue, and disease progression. Its work helps reduce diagnostic delays, inform healthcare practice, and strengthen collaboration among patients, clinicians, and researchers.

Traditionally, psychologists measured attitudes by simply asking people to self-report their beliefs, opinions, or feelings. This approach has limitations, however, when measuring socially sensitive attitudes, like racial prejudice, because people are often motivated to self-report unprejudiced, egalitarian beliefs (despite...

Many rodent models of endometriosis are limited by technical complexity, reproducibility, and/or need for immunocompromised animals or special reporter mice. We present a simplified system of lesion induction using any experimental mouse with an independently verifiable, objective scoring system and with no requirement for ovariectomy or survival surgery.
