Pdms Stamps

PDMS stamps are reusable elastomeric tools used to transfer microscale patterns onto surfaces, making them valuable for controlled fabrication in biological research. Typically produced by casting polydimethylsiloxane against a patterned master, the stamp receives an ink or surface treatment on its raised features and transfers it through conformal contact, a process known as soft lithography. Researchers use PDMS stamps to create biomolecule microarrays, pattern cell-adhesive and nonadhesive regions, and organize cells on substrates for studies of adhesion, migration, signaling, and tissue architecture. Their flexibility, optical transparency, and low-cost fabrication support rapid prototyping of biointerfaces and microfluidic devices.
