Tissue Evs

Tissue extracellular vesicles (EVs) are membrane-bound particles released by cells within tissues that transport biological signals between neighboring or distant cells. They form through endosomal pathways or outward budding of the plasma membrane, enclosing proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids that can alter recipient-cell behavior after uptake or surface-receptor binding. In biology, tissue EVs help regulate communication, inflammation, development, and tissue repair. Their molecular cargo also supports research into disease mechanisms and biomarker discovery, while engineered or naturally derived EVs are being investigated for targeted drug delivery and regenerative therapies.
