Monopole Electrocoagulation

Monopole electrocoagulation is a tissue-ablation technique that uses electrical energy to destroy targeted tissue and is studied in cancer research as a method for local tumor treatment. During the procedure, a high-frequency alternating current passes from an active electrode through the tissue to a dispersive grounding pad, generating heat through electrical resistance; controlled heating denatures proteins and produces coagulative necrosis. This approach can be applied to tumors during open or minimally invasive procedures, where electrode placement, current, and exposure time influence the treatment zone. Research evaluates its precision, safety, and potential role in reducing residual tumor tissue while limiting damage to surrounding structures.

Various murine models of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) are widely used in experimental brain research. Here, we demonstrate the model of transcranial permanent distal MCAO which produces consistent cortical infarction of a size corresponding to damage imposed by the majority of human ischemic strokes.

Here, we introduce a novel approach-Laparoscopic Extracorporeal Knot-Tying for Uterine Vessel Occlusion during Hysterectomy with Cervical Cerclage in Large Uteri. A laparoscopic extracorporeal knot-pusher is used to perform cervical cerclage, achieving complete occlusion of uterine arteries. Thereafter, the corpus uteri are excised to enhance visibility and facilitate the operative field.

Single-port Non-liposuction Endoscopic Axillary Lymph Node Dissection in Breast Cancer Surgery

2026

This study describes a standardized surgical procedure for single-port endoscopic axillary lymph node dissection without liposuction in breast cancer. Indicated for patients with biopsy-confirmed nodal metastasis or positive sentinel lymph nodes, the technique emphasizes preservation of critical structures, particularly the intercostobrachial nerve, to reduce postoperative morbidity and optimize functional recovery.
