Mri-guided Sampling

MRI-guided sampling is a medical imaging technique that uses magnetic resonance imaging to locate and collect tissue or fluid from a specific anatomical target, supporting more accurate cancer evaluation. MRI generates high-contrast images of soft tissues, allowing clinicians to plan a needle path, position the sampling device, and verify its location through sequential or real-time imaging while avoiding critical structures. In cancer research, this approach enables targeted biopsy of tumors and suspicious lesions for histopathology, molecular profiling, and treatment-response studies. By linking precise anatomical information with biological analysis, MRI-guided sampling can reduce sampling error and improve characterization of tumor heterogeneity.
