Endoscopic Procedure

An endoscopic procedure is a minimally invasive technique that uses an endoscope, a flexible or rigid instrument with a camera and light, to examine or treat internal body structures through a natural opening or small incision. The device transmits images to a monitor, while specialized channels can deliver instruments for biopsy, tissue removal, bleeding control, or other interventions. In clinical practice, endoscopy supports diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal, respiratory, urinary, and joint disorders while often reducing tissue disruption, pain, and recovery time compared with open surgery. Its applications range from routine screening to targeted therapeutic procedures, making it an important tool in modern patient care.
