Flow Structure Analysis

Flow Structure Analysis is the study of how fluids move and organize within a system, revealing patterns that control performance, stability, and transport. It examines velocity and pressure fields through measurements or computational fluid dynamics, using streamlines, vorticity, turbulence, and flow separation to characterize structures across space and time. In engineering, these analyses help explain energy loss in pipelines, lift and drag around vehicles, mixing in reactors, and heat transfer in thermal systems. By linking flow behavior to geometry and operating conditions, the method supports safer designs, improved efficiency, and more reliable prediction of complex fluid phenomena.

Free Cash Flow Analysis

2025

Free cash flow (FCF) is a critical indicator of a company’s financial flexibility and long-term viability. It represents the cash remaining after a firm covers its essential capital expenditures—funds used to maintain or expand physical assets like equipment, buildings, or technology.Calculating Free Cash FlowFree cash flow is calculated by taking the cash generated from operating activities and subtracting the company’s capital expenditures. This clearly measures how much cash remains after...

Many different methods exist for the measurement of extracellular vesicles (EVs) using flow cytometry (FCM). Several aspects should be considered when determining the most appropriate method to use. Two protocols for measuring EVs are presented, using either individual detection or a bead-based approach.

This article describes spectral cytometry, a new approach in flow cytometry that uses the shapes of emission spectra to distinguish fluorochromes. An algorithm replaces compensations and can treat auto-fluorescence as an independent parameter. This new approach allows for the proper analysis of cells isolated from solid organs.
