Neutrophil Dendritic Cell Interaction

Neutrophil dendritic cell interaction refers to the coordinated communication between neutrophils, rapid innate immune responders, and dendritic cells, which connect early defense to adaptive immunity. During infection or tissue injury, neutrophils release cytokines, chemokines, antimicrobial factors, and antigen-containing material that can influence dendritic-cell recruitment, maturation, antigen processing, and migration to lymph nodes. Dendritic cells, in turn, regulate neutrophil accumulation and activity through inflammatory signals and cell-contact mechanisms. Studying this interaction helps explain how inflammation is initiated and resolved, how pathogens are cleared, and how immune responses may contribute to infection-related tissue damage or inflammatory disease.

Effect of an Immunomodulatory Pharmacological Agent on the Interaction Between Dendritic Cells and CD4+ T Cells

2025

This video demonstrates a method of converting dendritic cells (DCs) to tolerogenic DCs (TolDCs) using an immunomodulatory pharmacological agent. This conversion is confirmed by evaluating the TolDC function through their immunosuppressive effect on CD4+ T cells.

An In Vitro Assay to Study the Interaction between Neutrophils and Biofilm

2025

This video demonstrates an in vitro assay to study neutrophil-biofilm interaction. The pathogenic bacteria embedded in the biofilm and isolated neutrophils were tagged using fluorescent labels, and the immune response by the neutrophils and the evasion of the immune response by the bacteria were assessed using a fluorescence microscope.

This video demonstrates the fluorescent staining of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), the extracellular DNA components expelled by neutrophils. This technique enables the visualization of adhesive interaction between cancer cells and NETs.

Time-lapse Fluorescence Microscopy of Neutrophil Extracellular Traps or NETs: A Technique to Analyze Post-adhesion Interaction between Cancer Cells and NETs

2023

In this video, we analyze the post-adhesion behavior of cancer cells trapped in neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) by co-culturing low-density neutrophils and gastric cancer cells. The time-lapse video analysis helps monitor various cellular events and study the role of NETs in pathological conditions.
