Uv Photolithography

UV photolithography is a microfabrication technique that uses ultraviolet light to transfer precise patterns onto a coated surface, enabling the production of structures at micrometer scales. During the process, a substrate is covered with a UV-sensitive photoresist, exposed through a photomask, and developed so that illuminated or protected regions are selectively removed, depending on the resist chemistry. In bioengineering, this method creates microfluidic channels, patterned surfaces, biosensor components, and cell-culture platforms. Its high spatial resolution and compatibility with diverse materials make it valuable for controlling cellular environments and building devices for tissue engineering, diagnostics, and biomedical research.

Absorbance When light interacts with a substance, a portion of the light is absorbed while the rest is either reflected or transmitted through it. Substances that we perceive as having a color reflect light in the visible range. The color of the substance that we are able to see depends on which wavelength of light is reflected. A substance that we perceive as blue reflects light in the blue range (430 – 480 nm) of the visible spectrum. According to the color wheel, the same substance absorbs...
