Assessing bone mineral density (BMD) is critical for identifying individuals at elevated fracture risk, informing early intervention strategies in musculoskeletal health programs. Radiofrequency echographic multi-spectrometry (REMS) offers a noninvasive, ultrasound-based method for BMD quantification at the femoral neck, a key predictor of osteoporotic fracture. This approach supports preclinical and translational research by providing a reproducible, quantitative readout for evaluating bone-targeted interventions in disease-relevant models.
REMS fits within the discovery continuum from target identification to preclinical validation, offering a mechanistic readout for bone health assessment that informs go/no-go decisions in skeletal therapeutic development.
