This study outlines a method for culturing human neural stem cells (HNSCs) on a laminin-coated polystyrene scaffold. The process promotes cell adherence, proliferation, and differentiation into neural progenitor cells within a three-dimensional environment.
Establishing physiologically relevant human neural models is critical for de-risking target validation in neurodegenerative disease programs. This 3D scaffold-based differentiation system enhances predictive confidence by enabling multidirectional neurite outgrowth and functional maturation of human neural stem cells. The approach supports early discovery workflows by providing a reproducible, scalable platform for mechanistic interrogation and phenotypic screening.
The method integrates into the discovery continuum from stem cell expansion to early phenotypic screening, enabling seamless transition to lead identification efforts.
