This article describes a method for isolating primary neurons and glial cells from neonatal mouse brains. The process involves enzymatic digestion, cell dissociation, and culture techniques to obtain a mixed cell population.
Establishing mixed glial cell cultures from neonatal mouse brains enables early-stage interrogation of neuroinflammatory pathways and cellular interactions relevant to CNS drug discovery. This system provides a reproducible, scalable platform for target validation and mechanistic de-risking in neurobiology-focused R&D portfolios. Reliable access to primary glial populations supports predictive confidence in preclinical model selection and assay development.
