Fluidics System

A fluidics system is an arrangement of channels, pumps, valves, and reservoirs that controls the movement of liquids or gases, enabling precise handling of small volumes in biological research. Fluid flow is regulated through pressure differences, mechanical pumps, valves, or capillary forces, allowing researchers to direct, mix, separate, and deliver samples under controlled conditions. In biology, fluidics systems support microfluidic assays, cell culture, cell sorting, diagnostic testing, and organ-on-chip models. Their precise fluid control reduces reagent use, enables automation, and helps reproduce complex biological environments for studying cellular behavior and disease processes.
