Microscope-assisted Surgery

Microscope-assisted surgery is a surgical approach that uses an operating microscope to magnify and illuminate anatomical structures, enabling precise work in areas where unaided vision is insufficient. The microscope provides adjustable visualization and depth perception, while specialized fine instruments and microsurgical techniques help surgeons manipulate small vessels, nerves, and other delicate tissues with controlled movements. In medicine, this approach supports procedures in neurosurgery, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and vascular surgery, where preserving normal tissue and restoring function are central goals. Its use can improve operative precision and expand treatment options for complex conditions.
