Cgmp Compliance

cGMP compliance is the system of manufacturing practices, quality controls, and documentation used to ensure that medical products are consistently produced according to defined standards of identity, strength, quality, and purity. It works through controlled procedures, trained personnel, validated processes, equipment qualification, material traceability, and review of deviations with corrective and preventive actions. In neuroscience, these controls support the reliable production of drugs, biologics, and other investigational products used in research and clinical development, helping limit contamination, variability, and batch-to-batch risk. Compliance also creates an auditable record that strengthens reproducibility, regulatory submissions, and patient safety as neural therapies advance.

2014

Exercise may alleviate behavioral impairments associated with neurodegenerative diseases. Studies of the mechanisms underlying exercise-mediated effects have increased in disease models, but the neurobiological background accompanying these diseases, specifically aging, is likely not considered. Here, we illustrate measures to increase the likelihood of a successful exercise paradigm in aged rats.

Measurement of Cyclic Guanosine Monophosphate (cGMP) in Solid Tissues using Competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA)

2025

This protocol measures cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) concentrations in solid tissues using competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The protocol describes how to process solid tissue, perform competitive ELISA, convert absorbances to cGMP concentrations in picomoles per milliliter, and calculate the final concentrations as nanomoles of cGMP per gram of tissue.

Feeding difficulties are a common problem for children with developmental disorders, including autism, and behavioral interventions often include escape extinction. Recent research has begun to evaluate treatments that do not include escape extinction. This manuscript describes a multicomponent treatment package that does not use escape extinction to treat feeding difficulties.
