Cannula Manufacturing

Cannula manufacturing is the controlled production of hollow, precision-tubed devices that provide access for fluid delivery, sampling, or instrument placement, making it important in biomedical and behavioral research. The process typically shapes biocompatible materials into tubes with defined lumen dimensions, wall thickness, length, and tip geometry, then assembles and finishes components to support accurate placement and reliable flow. In behavioral neuroscience, manufactured cannulas can enable chronic administration of drugs or other solutions into targeted regions of animal models while minimizing repeated handling. Consistent dimensions and surface quality improve procedural reproducibility, experimental control, and interpretation of behavior-related outcomes.

Administering Oxygen by Nasal Cannula

2025

Oxygen therapy is critical to patient care, especially for those struggling with respiratory issues. This intervention increases the oxygen concentration in the lungs, enhancing the amount of oxygen transported to the body's tissues. One standard method of delivering supplemental oxygen is through a nasal cannula, a non-invasive device that provides low to medium oxygen concentrations. Nasal Cannulas A nasal cannula is a lightweight tube split into two prongs placed in the nostrils, connected...

Steel Manufacturing

Steel manufacturing is a multi-stage process that begins by smelting iron ore into cast iron in a blast furnace. This initial stage involves layering iron ore with coke, a type of fuel, and crushed limestone within the furnace. The coke is ignited with a high volume of air, leading to the creation of carbon monoxide, which acts to reduce the iron ore to pure iron. During this smelting process, limestone plays a crucial role by forming slag. Slag captures impurities within the molten iron, such...

Good Manufacturing Practices

2026

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) constitute a foundational set of guidelines that ensure the production of safe, consistent, and high-quality products, particularly in industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and food processing. These protocols encompass all aspects of production, from the sourcing of raw materials to the final distribution of the finished product.A core pillar of GMP is stringent hygiene and sanitation across all production environments. This includes routine...
