Taxol Treatment Protocol

A Taxol treatment protocol is a standardized method for exposing cells or tissues to Taxol, also known as paclitaxel, to investigate its biological effects or evaluate its use as an anticancer agent. Paclitaxel binds β-tubulin within microtubules and stabilizes these structures, preventing the dynamic rearrangements required for mitotic spindle function and thereby causing cell-cycle arrest. In biology research, protocols define drug concentration, exposure time, solvent controls, and recovery conditions so results can be compared reliably. Taxol treatment supports studies of microtubule organization, mitosis, apoptosis, drug sensitivity, and cellular responses to chemotherapy.
