Colon Cell Labeling

Colon cell labeling is a technique used to identify and distinguish specific cell populations within the colon, supporting analysis of tissue organization, disease, and repair. Labels bind selected cellular markers through methods such as fluorescently tagged antibodies, genetic reporters, or other molecular probes, allowing cells to be visualized in tissue sections or analyzed after isolation. In medicine and biomedical research, colon cell labeling helps characterize epithelial, immune, stromal, and stem-like populations, track cellular changes during inflammation or tumor development, and assess responses to treatment. These measurements provide a foundation for studying colon function and improving disease models and diagnostic approaches.
