Ideal Banking

Ideal banking is the design of a curved road or track at an angle that allows an object to follow a circular path without relying on friction. As the object moves, the normal force from the inclined surface has a horizontal component that supplies the centripetal force, while its vertical component balances the object’s weight; the ideal angle depends on the speed and radius of the turn. This physics principle helps determine safe curves for vehicles, cyclists, and aircraft, and provides a practical model for analyzing uniform circular motion and force components.

Ideal Solutions

According to Raoult’s law, the partial vapor pressure of a solvent in a solution is equal or identical to the vapor pressure of the pure solvent multiplied by its mole fraction in the solution. However, Raoult's Law is only valid for ideal solutions. For a solution to be ideal, the solvent-solute interaction must be just as strong as a solvent-solvent or solute-solute interaction. This suggests that both the solute and the solvent would use the same amount of energy to escape to the vapor phase...

Ideal Gas Law - Concepts

Derivation of the Ideal Gas Law Gases are a fundamental state of matter. A gas is a collection of molecules that have a significant distance between their molecules. Due to this distance, colorless gases are invisible to the human eye and are studied using four measurable parameters: pressure (P), volume (V), number of moles (n), and temperature (T). The ideal gas law is a mathematical equation that relates all of these parameters. It is a combination of several different laws that describe the...

Source: Laboratory of Dr. Andreas Züttel - Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology The ideal gas law describes the behavior of most common gases at near-ambient conditions and the tendency of all chemical matter in the dilute limit. It is a fundamental relationship between three measurable macroscopic system variables (pressure, temperature, and volume) and the number of molecules of gas in the system, and is therefore an essential link between the microscopic and the...

The central bank is responsible for conducting monetary policy in a country. Although central banks share similar responsibilities across countries, their organizational structures can vary.In the United States, the Federal Reserve System, known as the Federal Reserve or simply the Fed, is the central bank. The Federal Reserve is composed of three core components. The first component is the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, a government body located in Washington, D.C. It consists of seven...
