Super-q Adsorbent

Super-Q adsorbent is a specialized ion-exchange material used to capture and separate charged molecules in biological sample preparation and purification. Its quaternary ammonium functional groups carry a positive charge, allowing the medium to bind negatively charged compounds such as nucleic acids, proteins, and other anionic biomolecules under suitable buffer conditions; changes in salt concentration or pH can then release the bound material. By selectively removing or concentrating target molecules, Super-Q adsorbent supports biochemical purification, sample cleanup, and analytical workflows, helping researchers improve sample quality and investigate molecular composition.

2017

'Super-selective' adrenal venous sampling (ssAVS, also called segmental adrenal venous sampling: sAVS) was performed using a micro-catheter to identify adrenal segment(s) that produce excessive amounts of hormones. The ssAVS technique was described, cases in which adrenal segmental lesion(s) were identified by ssAVS were presented, and the usefulness of ssAVS in future adrenal research was discussed.

We describe a super-resolution imaging method to probe the structural organization of the bacterial FtsZ-ring, an essential apparatus for cell division. This method is based on quantitative analyses of photoactivated localization microscopy (PALM) images and can be applied to other bacterial cytoskeletal proteins.

2024

Diarrhea is characterized by the occurrence of frequent, watery bowel movements. Various factors can trigger diarrhea, including viral or bacterial infections, foodborne illnesses, side effects from certain medications, and underlying digestive disorders. If not adequately managed, diarrhea can lead to complications such as dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and nutrient deficiencies. Severe diarrhea can lead to significant weight loss, malnutrition, and weakened immune function. Adsorbents...

Super-Resolution Imaging and Shared Management: A Protocol for Confocal Microscopy with Multiplex Detection

2026

This protocol details the advanced imaging applications, and shared-resource management of a laser-scanning confocal microscope system integrated with a multiplexed array detector for high-resolution cellular and subcellular imaging. The workflow enables multimodal imaging from confocal to super-resolution (~120 nm) within a single platform, making nanoscale visualization more accessible.
