Dual-channel Electrode

A dual-channel electrode is a neural interface with two electrically separate channels that enables concurrent measurement or delivery of electrical signals in nervous tissue. Each channel can connect to an independent recording or stimulation pathway, allowing researchers to compare activity between neural locations or apply and monitor signals under controlled conditions. In neuroscience, this configuration supports studies of neural communication, network activity, and responses to stimulation while helping distinguish local signals from activity at a second site. Its paired-channel design can improve experimental flexibility and provide richer spatial or functional information than a single electrode, supporting research in electrophysiology, circuit analysis, and neuromodulation.
