Ryan McGorty Department of Physics and Biophysics University of San Diego Biography Publications Institution JoVE Articles Ryan McGorty Ryan McGorty received his PhD in Physics from Harvard University in 2011. He worked on developing digital holographic microscopy to study colloids at fluid interfaces. McGorty then was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, San Francisco where he worked on super-resolution and light-sheet microscopy techniques. He started at the University of San Diego in 2015. His lab (https://rmcgorty.github.io/) worked on developing new microscopy techniques and on micro- and bulk rheology of colloidal and biological materials.
