Tumor Tissue Dissection

Tumor tissue dissection is the controlled separation and isolation of tumor tissue from surrounding biological structures for anatomical, cellular, or molecular analysis. The process relies on identifying tissue boundaries and using precise surgical or laboratory instruments to remove defined regions while minimizing contamination from adjacent normal tissue. In neuroscience, dissected brain tumors and neighboring tissue can be examined to compare cellular composition, organization, and disease-associated changes. Carefully prepared samples support histology, molecular profiling, cell culture, and other investigations into tumor biology, treatment response, and interactions between tumors and the nervous system.
