Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a healthcare discipline that assesses, prevents, and treats movement limitations, pain, and physical impairments to support functional recovery and overall health. It works through individualized exercise, manual therapy, movement training, education, and other physical interventions that address strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and mobility. In medicine, physiotherapy contributes to rehabilitation after injury, surgery, or neurological illness and helps manage musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and chronic conditions. Treatment plans are guided by clinical assessment and adjusted to patient goals, improving daily function, independence, and quality of life while reducing the effects of disability and supporting long-term physical health.
