Nano-lc Hplc

Nano-LC HPLC, or nano-scale high-performance liquid chromatography, is a miniaturized separation technique that analyzes very small amounts of complex biological samples with high sensitivity. It pumps a sample through a narrow-bore, particle-packed column at nanoliter-per-minute flow rates, separating compounds according to properties such as hydrophobicity and their interactions with the stationary and mobile phases. The separated molecules commonly enter a mass spectrometer for identification and quantification, making the method valuable in proteomics, peptide analysis, metabolomics, and biomarker research. By reducing sample and solvent consumption while improving detection of low-abundance compounds, nano-LC HPLC supports detailed molecular characterization in biological research.

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

2023

Source: Dr. Paul Bower - Purdue University High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is an important analytical method commonly used to separate and quantify components of liquid samples. In this technique, a solution (first phase) is pumped through a column that contains a packing of small porous particles with a second phase bound to the surface. The different solubilities of the sample components in the two phases cause the components to move through the column with different average...

2026

This study developed a high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (HPLC-QQQ-MS) method to identify and quantify tropane alkaloids (hyoscyamine, anisodamine, scopolamine) in Anisodus tanguticus. The method proved rapid, accurate, and reliable for high-throughput analysis of medicinal plants.
