Mustard Oil Infusion

Mustard oil infusion is a preparation method in which mustard oil is combined with herbs, spices, or other botanical materials to transfer selected oil-soluble constituents into the carrier oil. During maceration or controlled heating, compounds partition into the oil, while time, temperature, particle size, and filtration influence the composition and stability of the finished infusion. In medicine, the method supports the preparation and study of topical formulations and traditional remedies, but the infusion itself does not establish clinical efficacy; standardized processing and safety evaluation are needed to assess contamination, irritation, dose, and consistency.
