To avoid ambient temperature impacting the readings, carefully insert the probe into the external ear canal to achieve a perfect seal.
Then, press the scan button and hold the probe in position until a beep sound indicates completion.
The patient&#39;s temperature will appear on the display unit.
Now, remove the probe cover and discard
Assist the patient to a comfortable position, replace the equipment, and perform hand hygiene.
Lastly, document the findings.
