Collection Overview

The development of innovative methods in dermatology is crucial to addressing the increasing burden of skin diseases and enhancing patients' quality of life. These advancements involve both experimental and clinical approaches. Novel experimental techniques have illuminated the intricate processes underlying skin homeostasis and disease pathogenesis, paving the way for personalized therapies. In the clinical setting, cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic approaches allow for more precise diagnoses, minimally invasive procedures, targeted interventions, and redefine the traditional patient-doctor interaction while facilitating remote consultations.

The scope of this Methods Collection includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Novel detection or analytical methods in the diagnosis of skin diseases (e.g., new imaging or laboratory approaches).
  2. Innovative approaches in treating skin diseases or rejuvenating skin (e.g., phototherapy or novel surgical methods).
  3. Novel approaches in the bedside care of complicated or critical skin conditions.
  4. Novel experimental methods in skin research.
