Chambered Coverslip

A chambered coverslip is a microscope coverslip fitted with one or more shallow wells that contain biological samples in a defined volume while providing an optically clear imaging surface. Its chamber walls retain liquid over the coverslip, allowing cells, tissues, or microorganisms to remain positioned for observation, staining, or treatment under a microscope. In biology, chambered coverslips support live-cell imaging, fluorescence microscopy, immunostaining, and time-lapse experiments while reducing sample disturbance during repeated measurements. Their controlled geometry and compatibility with high-resolution objectives make them useful for studying cell morphology, growth, movement, and responses to experimental conditions.

Chambers of the Heart

2025

The human heart is a complex organ made up of four chambers: the right and left atria and the right and left ventricles. These internal chambers are separated by partitions known as the interatrial and interventricular septa. The exterior of the heart features a groove known as the coronary sulcus that demarcates the atria from the ventricles, while the anterior and posterior interventricular sulci distinguish between the two ventricles. Deoxygenated blood from the body is received in the right...
