Humidified Chamber

A humidified chamber is an enclosed laboratory vessel that maintains a moisture-rich atmosphere around biological samples during incubation, helping prevent evaporation and changes in reagent concentration. It works by placing samples in a sealed or partially sealed environment with a water source; as water evaporates, the surrounding air approaches high relative humidity, reducing moisture loss from droplets and specimen surfaces. In biology, humidified chambers support immunostaining, in situ hybridization, antibody incubations, and other protocols requiring stable reaction volumes over time. By improving consistency across samples, they help preserve assay conditions and strengthen the reproducibility of microscopy-based and molecular results.

Chambers of the Heart

2025

The human heart is a complex organ made up of four chambers: the right and left atria and the right and left ventricles. These internal chambers are separated by partitions known as the interatrial and interventricular septa. The exterior of the heart features a groove known as the coronary sulcus that demarcates the atria from the ventricles, while the anterior and posterior interventricular sulci distinguish between the two ventricles. Deoxygenated blood from the body is received in the right...
