Native Chip Protocol

The Native ChIP protocol is a chromatin immunoprecipitation method that identifies DNA regions associated with specific histone modifications or chromatin-binding proteins while preserving native, non-crosslinked interactions. Cells or tissues are lysed under conditions that maintain chromatin structure, and controlled nuclease digestion releases chromatin fragments; an antibody then selectively captures the target protein-DNA complexes for purification and downstream DNA analysis. By revealing genomic sites occupied by histones and regulatory proteins, Native ChIP supports studies of epigenetic regulation, gene expression, and chromatin organization. Its reliance on native interactions can provide biologically relevant occupancy profiles, although careful digestion and antibody selection are essential for reliable results.

Capturing Common Fragile Site Breaks by Native γH2A.X ChIP

2025

We present a rapid and efficient method to detect common fragile site breaks through native γH2A.X chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP). This approach significantly reduces both the time and labor associated with traditional γH2A.X ChIP assays while maintaining high reproducibility and reliability of results.

Chip-Based Digital PCR to Detect Rare Transcript Variants Using a Nanofluidic Chip

2025

This video demonstrates chip-based digital PCR — a variation of the digital PCR technique that is useful in detecting rare transcript variants. The PCR reaction is partitioned into the chambers of a nanofluidic chip, each of which acts as an independent reaction. The detection of fluorescence signals from the chambers with amplified targets confirms the presence of rare transcript variants in the sample.
