Ball-and-stick Model

A ball-and-stick model is a three-dimensional representation of a molecule that shows how atoms connect and how they are arranged in space. Colored spheres represent individual atoms, while rods represent chemical bonds; their positions and angles reveal molecular geometry, connectivity, and stereochemistry, although the spheres and bonds are typically not drawn to scale. In chemistry, these models help students and researchers visualize structures that are difficult to interpret from formulas alone, compare molecular conformations, and relate shape to properties such as polarity and reactivity. They also support communication of molecular structures in teaching, research, and computational modeling.

Exercise is capable of inducing apoptosis in immune cells. There are various measurement limitations, particularly relating to the amount of time required to isolate and treat a blood sample prior to the assessment. Demonstrated is a rapid and minimally invasive procedure for the analysis of exercise-induced lymphocyte apoptosis.

2020

Physical models representing molecular architectures of chemical compounds play essential roles in understanding chemistry. The use of molecular models makes it easier to visualize the structures and shapes of atoms and molecules. Skeletal Model Simpler two-dimensional representations of chemical compounds are accomplished using skeletal models. The illustration shows only the molecular framework or bonds without explicitly showing the atoms. In this representation, many of the carbon atoms...

Presynapse Formation Assay Using Presynapse Organizer Beads and “Neuron Ball” Culture

Presynapse formation is a dynamic process including accumulation of synaptic proteins in proper order. In this method, presynapse formation is triggered by beads conjugated with a presynapse organizer protein on axonal sheets of “neuron ball” culture, so that accumulation of synaptic proteins is easy to be analyzed during presynapse formation.
