Der Zustand und das Ausgangsverhalten des Systems vor und nach der Eingangsanregung sind klar definiert.
Das Kirchhoffsche Gesetz bildet eine Eingangssignalgleichung, wobei der Strom und die Spannung des Kondensators den Ausgang liefern.
Die Substitution des Ausdrucks für Strom und Division durch RC ergibt eine Differentialgleichung, bei der der Ausgang des Impulssignals als Impulsantwort gilt.
