Gamma H2a.x Chip

Gamma H2A.X chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) is a method for mapping genomic regions associated with phosphorylated histone H2A.X, a chromatin mark formed near DNA double-strand breaks and therefore useful for studying genome damage. In this assay, cells are typically fixed, chromatin is fragmented, and an antibody against γ-H2A.X enriches the marked nucleosomes; the recovered DNA is then identified by PCR or sequencing. Gamma H2A.X ChIP helps compare DNA-damage patterns across conditions, assess repair-associated chromatin changes, and connect biochemical responses to specific genomic loci. It supports research in genome stability, cancer biology, and DNA repair.

2025

Begin with a patient diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, wearing a gamma therapy stimulation device. The device consists of an eye-set and headphones.Using the controller, activate the device to deliver auditory and visual stimulation. The visual component emits flickering light at a gamma frequency, while the auditory component produces synchronized sound pulses.Gamma oscillations are brain waves generated by synchronized neuronal firing, crucial for cognition and memory. In AD, these...

Intravital Visualization of Gamma Delta Intraepithelial Lymphocytes

2025

This video demonstrates the visualization of γδ intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs) in transgenic mice using confocal microscopy. The surgical procedure involves creating a perforation line and making a longitudinal incision to expose the intestinal mucosa and villi. The transgenic mice express reporter proteins exclusively in γδ IELs, allowing their tracking. Intravital imaging captures the dynamic movement of green fluorescence-labeled γδ IELs along the intestinal epithelial cell's basement...

Capturing Common Fragile Site Breaks by Native γH2A.X ChIP

2025

We present a rapid and efficient method to detect common fragile site breaks through native γH2A.X chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP). This approach significantly reduces both the time and labor associated with traditional γH2A.X ChIP assays while maintaining high reproducibility and reliability of results.

The pedunculopontine nucleus (PPN) is located in the brainstem and its neurons are maximally activated during waking and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep brain states. This work describes the experimental approach to record in vitro gamma band subthreshold membrane oscillation in PPN neurons.

Chip-Based Digital PCR to Detect Rare Transcript Variants Using a Nanofluidic Chip

2025

This video demonstrates chip-based digital PCR — a variation of the digital PCR technique that is useful in detecting rare transcript variants. The PCR reaction is partitioned into the chambers of a nanofluidic chip, each of which acts as an independent reaction. The detection of fluorescence signals from the chambers with amplified targets confirms the presence of rare transcript variants in the sample.
