Antibody Array Analysis

Antibody array analysis is a multiplexed protein assay that measures many target proteins simultaneously, making it useful for comparing biological states with limited sample volumes. In this technique, capture antibodies are immobilized at defined positions on a membrane or solid surface; sample proteins bind their matching antibodies, and labeled detection antibodies or other signal-generating reagents reveal the captured targets. Researchers quantify signal intensity to estimate relative protein abundance and identify changes associated with disease, treatment, development, or cellular responses. In biology, the method supports biomarker screening, pathway studies, and hypothesis generation, while follow-up assays can validate key findings.
