Mysql Mongodb Exist

MySQL and MongoDB existence queries are database operations that determine whether a matching record or field is present, an essential task for reliable data retrieval and validation. In MySQL, the EXISTS predicate evaluates a correlated or uncorrelated subquery and returns true when the subquery produces at least one row; in MongoDB, the $exists operator tests whether a specified field appears in a document, including fields whose value is null. In medicine, these queries help identify patients with documented measurements, diagnoses, laboratory results, or treatment records, supporting cohort selection, data-quality checks, clinical research, and downstream analysis across relational and document-oriented systems.

This study compares relational and non-relational (NoSQL) standardized medical information systems. The computational complexity of the response times of querying such database management systems (DBMS) is computed using doubling-sized databases. These results help the discussion of the appropriateness of each database approach to different scenarios and problems.

Reasons for the Existence of Monopoly

2024

A monopoly occurs when a single firm is the sole supplier of a product or service in a market with no close substitutes. One primary reason is the existence of high barriers to entry. These can include control over scarce resources, high capital requirements, locational advantages, and ownership of key inputs. For example, De Beers had a monopoly in the diamond industry, controlling most of the diamond mines. Further, there are legal barriers, for instance, governments may grant a company...

We present use of 2-photon microscopy to place a micropipette within Bowman's urinary space in mice, combining 2 foundational techniques of renal physiology. Use of 2-photon microscopy overcomes critical limitations of conventional microscopy for micropuncture renal physiology studies.

Phase Diagrams

2020

A phase diagram combines plots of pressure versus temperature for the liquid-gas, solid-liquid, and solid-gas phase-transition equilibria of a substance. These diagrams indicate the physical states that exist under specific conditions of pressure and temperature and also provide the pressure dependence of the phase-transition temperatures (melting points, sublimation points, boiling points). Regions or areas labeled solid, liquid, and gas represent single phases, while lines or curves represent...

Chemical Reactions in Aqueous Solutions

2020

Chemical substances interact in many different ways. Certain chemical reactions exhibit common patterns of reactivity. Due to the vast number of chemical reactions, it becomes necessary to classify them based on the observed patterns of interaction. Water is a good solvent that can dissolve many substances. For this reason, many chemical reactions take place in water. Such reactions are called aqueous reactions. The three most common types of aqueous reactions are precipitation, acid-base, and...
