Diagnosis Treatment

Diagnosis and treatment are complementary clinical processes used to identify health conditions and guide appropriate care. Diagnosis combines patient history, physical examination, and laboratory or imaging findings to distinguish possible causes, while treatment applies targeted interventions to address the underlying condition, control symptoms, or prevent complications. Together, they support clinical decision-making across acute and chronic disease management, from confirming an illness to monitoring response and adjusting care. Accurate diagnosis improves treatment selection, while ongoing assessment helps clinicians evaluate outcomes, manage risks, and personalize care as a patient’s condition changes.
