Colon Lumen Visualization

Colon lumen visualization is the imaging of the hollow interior of the colon to examine its mucosal lining, contents, and structural abnormalities. In practice, a flexible endoscope or other imaging system guides a camera and light through the bowel, often using insufflation to expand the lumen and improve the view of the intestinal wall. This approach supports biological studies of gastrointestinal anatomy, tissue injury, inflammation, and tumor development. It also enables detection and documentation of polyps, lesions, and other changes, providing visual evidence for research, disease assessment, and evaluation of treatment outcomes.

Gold Immunostaining of Exosomal Sections: A Technique to Visualize Diagnostic Markers in Exosomal Lumen

2023

In this video, we demonstrate gold immunostaining of biomarkers localized within the lumen region of ultrathin exosomal sections. This technique enables early diagnosis of diseases by visualization of target molecules within the exosomes secreted by the diseased cells.
