Infertility Management

Infertility management is the systematic evaluation and treatment of difficulty achieving pregnancy, addressing factors in one or both partners and supporting informed reproductive decisions. Care typically begins with medical history, physical examination, ovulation assessment, semen analysis, and targeted testing to identify conditions such as ovulatory disorders, tubal obstruction, endometriosis, or reduced sperm function. Treatment may involve lifestyle changes, medications that stimulate ovulation, surgery, intrauterine insemination, or in vitro fertilization, selected according to the underlying cause, patient preferences, age, and prognosis. In medicine, individualized management can improve reproductive outcomes while providing counseling and monitoring for treatment-related risks.
