Hipaa Compliance

HIPAA compliance is the process of following U.S. requirements that protect the privacy, security, and permitted use of individuals’ protected health information in healthcare. It relies on administrative, physical, and technical safeguards, including risk assessments, access controls, workforce training, secure data handling, and breach-notification procedures, while limiting information use to the minimum necessary for an intended purpose. In medicine, these practices guide hospitals, clinics, insurers, researchers, and their service providers in managing patient records and electronic health information. Effective compliance reduces unauthorized disclosure, supports patient trust, and strengthens responsible data sharing for care, operations, and research.

Exercise may alleviate behavioral impairments associated with neurodegenerative diseases. Studies of the mechanisms underlying exercise-mediated effects have increased in disease models, but the neurobiological background accompanying these diseases, specifically aging, is likely not considered. Here, we illustrate measures to increase the likelihood of a successful exercise paradigm in aged rats.

Feeding difficulties are a common problem for children with developmental disorders, including autism, and behavioral interventions often include escape extinction. Recent research has begun to evaluate treatments that do not include escape extinction. This manuscript describes a multicomponent treatment package that does not use escape extinction to treat feeding difficulties.
