Matter is anything that has mass and occupies space.
All matter is made of fundamental substances called elements. Each element is composed of unique atoms that retain all the properties of that element.
Matter can exist as solid, such as bones and teeth; liquid, such as blood and urine; or gas, such as oxygen and carbon dioxide.
