Glabella

Glabella is the smooth, slightly raised area of the forehead between the eyebrows and above the bridge of the nose, serving as a recognizable landmark in human anatomy. It lies over the frontal bone near the nasal root, while facial muscles such as the procerus and corrugator supercilii move the overlying skin to produce frowning and other expressions. Because its position is consistent, the glabella helps researchers and clinicians describe facial structure, assess proportions, document injury or swelling, and orient anatomical measurements. In biological anthropology and medical imaging, it also supports facial analysis and reconstruction.
