Human Cd31 Antibody

A Human CD31 Antibody is a laboratory reagent that recognizes CD31, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1 (PECAM-1), a membrane protein expressed prominently by endothelial cells and selected blood cells. The antibody binds a specific epitope on CD31 and enables detection through a conjugated signal or a labeled secondary antibody in techniques such as flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. Researchers use CD31 staining to identify and characterize endothelial populations, assess vascular structures in tissue, and support studies of cell adhesion, leukocyte migration, angiogenesis, and vascular development. Its performance depends on antibody specificity, sample preparation, and validated experimental conditions.

Purification of CD31+ Endothelial Precursor Cells Using Magnetic-Activated Cell Sorting

2025

This video demonstrates a technique for purifying CD31+ endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) from a culture using magnetic-activated cell sorting (MACS). The cell suspension is treated with a fluorophore-conjugated antibody that binds to CD31 on the EPCs. Completing the labeling of CD31+ EPCs involves adding an antibody complex, which binds to the fluorophores, and a polymer-coated magnetic nanoparticle, which binds to the antibody complex. The labeled cells are then purified using a magnetic...

Whole blood Immunophenotyping is indispensable for monitoring the human immune system. However, the number of reagents required and the instability of specific fluorochromes in premixed cocktails necessitates daily reagent preparation. Here we show that semi-automated preparation of staining antibody cocktail helps establish reliable immunophenotyping by minimizing variability in reagent dispensing.

Synthesis of human monoclonal antibodies is the first step in studies aimed at unraveling the pathophysiological mechanisms of auto-antibody-mediated immune responses. We have developed a protocol to generate recombinant human immunoglobulin G (IgG) monoclonal antibodies from blood sorted B cells, including B-cell isolation, antibody cloning and in vitro synthesis.
