Oligonucleotide Analysis

Oligonucleotide analysis is the characterization of short DNA or RNA sequences to determine their identity, length, composition, purity, and chemical integrity. It commonly combines separation and detection methods, such as chromatographic or electrophoretic resolution followed by mass spectrometry or sequence-based measurements, allowing researchers to distinguish full-length products from truncated or modified molecules. In biology, these analyses support the quality control of primers, probes, antisense oligonucleotides, and small interfering RNAs, while helping evaluate nucleic acid interactions, stability, and activity in research and therapeutic development.
