Cd29 Cd44 Cd105

CD29, CD44, and CD105 are cell-surface proteins used to characterize cell populations and investigate tissue development, particularly cells with mesenchymal or progenitor-like properties. CD29, also called integrin β1, supports adhesion to extracellular-matrix proteins; CD44 binds hyaluronan and influences cell attachment, migration, and signaling; and CD105, or endoglin, acts as a co-receptor in transforming growth factor-β pathways. Together, these markers help researchers identify and compare developing stromal and stem-like populations, assess changes during differentiation, and relate cell-surface phenotype to tissue formation, repair, and vascular development.

The presence of cancer stem cells (CSCs) in bone sarcomas has recently been linked to their pathogenesis. In this article, we present the isolation of CSCs from primary cell cultures obtained from human biopsies of conventional osteosarcoma (OS) using the ability of CSCs to grow under nonadherent conditions.

A protocol establishing mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) isolated from the synovial fluid and bone marrow of minipigs and non-invasively collected using syringe aspiration is presented. Cellular phenotyping was performed using flow cytometry after cell isolation and in vitro cultivation of bone marrow and synovial fluids derived from MSCs.

The protocol presented in this study describes methods for the real-time monitoring of reprogramming progression via the kinetic measurement of positive and negative pluripotent stem cell markers using flow cytometry analysis. The protocol also includes the imaging-based assessment of morphology, and marker or reporter expression during iPSC generation.
