This Editor’s Choice collection highlights recent JoVE video articles that have made significant contributions to pulmonary research and clinical practice. These methods include cutting-edge clinical diagnostics as well as advanced preclinical models. Diagnostic techniques such as point-of-care lung ultrasound and 3D functional MRI advance bedside assessment and pulmonary function analysis. Advanced model systems - including rodent models, air-liquid interface culture, and 'alveolus-on-chip' systems - provide tools to probe inflammation, immune response, and tissue architecture.
